Role Description
Job Purpose
The role of the Procurement Executive is to:
- Purchase assigned products at the lowest total cost of ownership, ensuring appropriate quality and quantity, under the guidance of the Head of Finished Goods procurement.
- Support the wider Finished Goods procurement team in contract and vendor management.
- Assist in generating analytics to monitor supplier performance and stock positions.
Dimensions
- External contacts – Relevant suppliers for assigned products.
- Internal contacts – Procurement, Commercial, Revenue Growth Management, Customer Strategy and Planning, Innovation, Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical.
- Travel may be required.
Principal Responsibilities
- Obtain the lowest total cost of ownership through negotiation, market intelligence, and supplier knowledge.
- Collaborate with Senior Procurement managers to ensure continuity and manage workload during peak periods.
- Analyze and manage supplier and customer contracts.
- Maintain currency and cost savings trackers.
- Update SAP with contracts and costing information.
- Support SAP Master Data management.
- Gather market trend, pricing, and forecast information from suppliers.
- Research and develop new supply sources.
- Communicate market conditions clearly internally and externally.
- Develop and maintain responsible suppliers meeting industry standards (e.g., BRC, Sedex).
- Manage contracts professionally, maintaining cost conditions and source lists.
- Coordinate with Operations, Planning, NPD, Sales, and Commercial on procurement issues.
- Resolve problems ethically and fairly, protecting long-term interests.
- Support stakeholder satisfaction efforts across departments.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach.
- Good analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- SAP analytics and reporting experience (desired).
- Degree, preferably in business or related field (desired).
- Previous procurement experience (desired).
- Candidate or student of CIPS, or working towards qualification (desired).
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas (desired).
