We are recruiting: Senior Business Support Assistant
Hybrid with 2 days per week in office (Glenfield) | Interim for 3 months initially | Full-time (37 hours per week)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Business Support Assistant to join a local authority in Leicestershire to provide efficient and effective business support processes associated with statutory requirements, including assessments and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary Management – Make diary appointments, arrange meetings for managers, and manage daily routine inboxes for senior management staff.
- Facilitating, arranging, and minuting meetings – Responsible for planning and organizing meetings, preparing relevant materials, and taking accurate minutes when required.
- Ability to liaise with external agencies – Act as the first point of contact for inquiries from schools, partners, voluntary and community organizations, agencies, and the public, including managing a generic inbox daily.
- Provide comprehensive business support services, both administrative and secretarial, for senior management, ensuring compliance with local and statutory requirements.
- Support the administration of complex databases, ensuring systems are updated, accurate, and maintained for auditing and analysis purposes.
- Handle emails, telephone calls, and visitors appropriately.
- Develop and compile reports, including statistical analysis for management and FOI requests.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Secretarial or Personal Assistant experience.
- Experience in a local authority is an advantage.
