Meter Operator Specialist
Here's what you'll be doing
The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
We are seeking a Meter Operator (MOP) Specialist to join our Advanced Half Hourly Meter Operations team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of advanced meter operations, including new installations, fault resolution, half-hourly meter exchanges, and ongoing maintenance of accounts. You'll ensure that all tasks are managed and scheduled efficiently, meeting strict timelines and handling conflicting priorities within agreed service levels.
As part of our team, you'll be responsible for maintaining all Half-Hourly (HH) and Automated Meter Reading (AMR) metering and communication points. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, data collectors, distributors, and other industry agents to secure precise and accurate data consumption for our customers and supplier functions.
This position offers a hybrid working model, with 1-2 days per week based in our Solihull office.

- Dataflow management in line with BSCP timescales.
- Managing complex metering queries.
- Appointment booking.
- Capacity management.
- Collaboration with internal and external agents.
- Liaising with customers.
- Portfolio progress reporting.
- Managing site visit results and actioning relevant industry dataflows.

What we need from you
- Experience of working in a customer service role, with excellent communication abilities across all levels.
- Strong negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes and build lasting relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with solid general IT competency.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage workload independently under pressure.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills as required.
