Are you looking to gain more hands-on experience in mechanical services and want to work as part of a reliable and skilled team? We are currently seeking a Pipefitter's Mate to join a project based in Wimbledon , assisting in a boiler room installation at a school .
Role Overview:
As a Pipefitter's Mate , you will be supporting qualified pipefitters on-site with daily tasks related to mechanical installation works, particularly in a boiler room environment. The work will primarily involve assisting with the movement and preparation of pipework and materials, supporting with fixing and installation as directed, and maintaining a tidy and safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting experienced pipefitters with mechanical and pipework installations
Supporting with tasks within a live boiler room environment
Carrying tools, preparing work areas, and helping move materials safely
Following health and safety procedures at all times
Working as part of a team to ensure efficient project progress
Adhering to site rules and working hours (07:30 – 15:30)
Requirements:
Green CSCS card (essential)
Some previous experience working in a mechanical or construction environment (desirable)
Good attitude, punctuality, and willingness to learn on-site
Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions carefully
Safety boots and basic PPE required
