Hayward Hawk are proud to be recruiting for a finance/bookkeeping assistant. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented individual to support daily finance operations in a very busy office environment. Youll be part of a close-knit finance team handling a variety of payment processing, account maintenance, and internal support tasks. This role is full time, working hybrid and located in Belfast. Key Responsibilities: Process and record all incoming and outgoing payments accurately and on time Maintain up-to-date and accurate bank records across multiple accounts Prepare and approve electronic payments within daily deadlines Manage and track customer and supplier payments, including cheque processing Handle currency transfers and manage internal fund movements Investigate and resolve payment-related queries from clients, banks, and third parties Assist with inbox management, ensuring all finance-related emails are addressed Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations Provide support across the finance function as needed Experience: Minimum 2 years in a fast-paced finance/accounts role Comfortable handling high volumes of transactional data Confident working with finance systems and Microsoft Office tools Previous experience in bookkeeping, payments/cashering or banking Excellent communication and time management skills Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks independently Strong attention to detail Able to work well both independently and within a team
