JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE : Shift Engineer
LOCATION : Tayto, Tandragee
REPORTS To: Engineer Manager/Supervisor
PURPOSE
To ensure the effective and efficient running of the assets at Tayto Tandragee. To be involve in KPIs i.e. High PM completion, downtime reduction and continuous improvement maintain, repair and install machinery within the factory
To be proactive in dealing with daily issues
Principal Accountabilities
- To highlight areas which require improvement and or attention?
- To abide by Safety rules and ensure Hygiene standards are maintained within the department.
- To maintain a clear and effective line of communications within the dept
- To be able to demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative.
- To develop own performance by actively seeking development opportunities.
- To be able to work unsupervised and be self motivated.
- To demonstrate a clear and logical approach to fault finding in modern PLC controlled machinery.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, Pneumatic & PLC systems
- Strong knowledge of electronic control devices
- Strong electrical discipline with in the process environment
- Educated to ONC or Equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Good team working skills
- Relevant apprenticeship served
- Food based manufacturing experience beneficial
Reports to: Engineering Manager
You will be required to work as part of a small team of shift engineers following a rotating shift pattern. The shifts are 7 Days and 7 nights of 11.5 hours worked over a 28-day period. Details of the shift pattern attached.
Day shift starts at 0730 and finishes at 1930.
Night shift starts at 1930 and finishes at 0730
