Bloomberg\’s Global Finance team handles all aspects of financial operations, including procurement, cash collection, billing, revenue recording, vendor invoice processing, payments, regional treasury, cash funding, indirect tax, capital planning, and fixed assets. Our Global Procurement team manages strategic sourcing and operational purchasing of goods and services, ensuring the procurement and distribution of essentials for Bloomberg’s operations while managing vendor risks and delivering top-tier customer service.

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Strategic Sourcing Manager based in London at our EMEA Headquarters. The successful candidate will develop and execute sourcing and vendor management strategies aligned with Bloomberg’s business objectives, supporting the Professional Services Category across the EMEA region. The role requires building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors, understanding procurement principles, and demonstrating excellent communication, stakeholder management, and attention to detail. You will support multiple departments with varied needs in a dynamic environment, contributing to a global team committed to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in procurement and commercial insights to internal stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors
- Think strategically, collaborate, and negotiate effectively
- Negotiate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure compliance with Bloomberg’s Procurement Framework
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies and manage pipelines
- Define specifications and requirements through stakeholder collaboration
- Make sourcing recommendations based on financial analysis and market conditions
- Understand internal and external environments for required goods/services
- Support change management and adhere to procurement policies
- Communicate market impacts and vendor risks to stakeholders
- Align cross-functional teams and deliver outstanding customer service
- Innovate sourcing processes and explore new strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, with 5+ years in Professional Services
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of RFI/RFQ/RFP processes
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service, issue resolution, negotiation, and project management skills
- Leadership skills with regional and cultural awareness
- Ability to analyze data for sourcing insights
- Proficiency with relevant applications and systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fast-paced, data-driven environments
- Negotiation and strategic sourcing application
- International stakeholder collaboration
- Knowledge of trade terms, compliance, and ERP systems
- Strong MS Office skills; CPP/CIPS/CPM certifications preferred
