Legal Secretary – West Sussex

An established regional firm is seeking an experienced legal secretary to join its Personal Injury team. This is an office-based role working alongside a highly experienced team of solicitors. The firm is open to both full-time and flexible working arrangements. On-site parking is available, and a competitive hourly rate is on offer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Audio and copy typing of correspondence and legal documents
  • Liaising with clients, experts, counsel, witnesses and the court
  • Handling telephone calls and taking messages
  • File management including photocopying, scanning and preparing enclosures
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and firm procedures
  • Using the Proclaim case management system
  • Preparing cost update letters and billing documents
  • Managing diaries, appointments and client queries

Requirements:

  • Experience within personal injury work is preferred
  • Confident using Proclaim
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
