The firm has a long-standing presence across Europe and is seeking a French native Vice President to support its continued growth in the French mid-market. This is a rare opportunity to join a blue-chip investment team with a strong track record, institutional processes, and robust deal flow.
The Role
As a Vice President within the Direct Lending team, you will play a central role in originating, evaluating, structuring, and executing private credit investments, with a particular focus on sponsor-backed transactions in France. You will work closely with senior investment professionals, contribute to investment committee discussions, and take ownership across the deal lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of private debt investments, including due diligence, financial modeling, credit analysis, and documentation
- Actively source and develop relationships with private equity sponsors, advisers, and corporates in the French market
- Present and defend investment opportunities to the global IC
- Oversee junior team members and help drive team efficiency and performance
- Monitor portfolio companies and support ongoing value creation and risk management
Candidate Profile
- Native-level French and fluent English
- 8–10 years of experience in direct lending, private credit, or leveraged finance (investment banking, debt advisory, or buyside)
- Demonstrated ability to lead transactions end-to-end, including deal structuring and negotiation
- Deep understanding of credit risk, capital structures, and legal frameworks
