Job Description
Our client, a leading professional services firm with a strong presence in 21 countries, is seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to join their dynamic Finance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and lead a talented team within a renowned professional services organisation.
Position Overview
As the Senior Sourcing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the firm's sourcing activities, managing a team of sourcing personnel, and collaborating with stakeholders across the global organisation. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies, you will have hands on experience across FM, HR & Travel, evaluating supplier proposals, and ensuring compliance with risk management and due diligence processes. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's procurement practices and contribute to its ongoing success.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of sourcing personnel, providing guidance and fostering a high-performance culture
- Partner with stakeholders to efficiently manage categories, overseeing plans, reporting progress, and recommending innovative sourcing strategies
- Evaluate supplier proposals based on risk, cost, quality, and compliance criteria
- Monitor contract lifecycles and collaborate with Legal, Finance, Data Protection, and Information Security teams for due diligence and risk management
- Oversee the preparation of detailed reports on sourcing performance and champion technology integration for procurement
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated matters and facilitate responsible sourcing strategies integrating Carbon, ESG, and DE&I initiatives
- Support global category oversight, partner with global business teams, and effectively manage change following the team's global transition
Requirements
- Experience managing a category & sourcing team, preferably within a global professional services firm.
- Experience hands on sourcing across FM, HR, Marketing & Travel
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders to define procurement requirements, evaluate supplier proposals, and recommend preferred options
- Proven track record of facilitating and executing responsible sourcing strategies, integrating ethical and sustainable practices within the supply chain
- Strong knowledge of purchasing technology-related goods and services, including cloud solutions, software, and hardware (highly desirable)
- CIPS qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and effectively manage change
