Job Description – DB2 DBA

Strong experience in migrating databases from AIX to Linux using various DB2-supported methods.

In-depth knowledge of DB2 EXPORT and LOAD utilities for efficient data migration.

Hands-on experience with DB2MOVE and LOAD FROM CURSOR for structured schema and data transfer.

Good understanding and practical experience with Q Replication for near Real Time data replication.

Expertise in setting up and managing HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery) with multiple standby systems.

Skilled in capturing real workloads from the source database and replaying them on the target for performance testing and right-sizing DB2 VMs.

Excellent understanding of DB2 Process and Memory Architecture.

Proficient in performance tuning using DBM configurations, database parameters, and registry variables.

Strong experience with data movement utilities like db2move, EXPORT, IMPORT, and LOAD.
