We are working with a well-established and respected high street firm in Kent seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Residential Property. This opportunity arises due to the planned retirement of the current Head of Department, offering a seamless leadership transition.
This is a fantastic role for a conveyancing solicitor ready to step into a senior leadership position and take charge of a thriving, high-volume residential property department.
The Opportunity
- Lead a busy and well-established conveyancing team, managing 2 fee earners and 2 support staff
- Oversee a varied caseload of residential property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
- Take full accountability for departmental performance, staff supervision, and client service delivery
- Work closely with firm leadership to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence
- Develop new business, nurture client relationships, and represent the firm in the local property market
What We’re Looking For
A qualified Solicitor with 8+ years PQE
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing people and case volumes
Strong residential property law knowledge and practical conveyancing experience
A proactive mindset with the ability to network, market and grow the department
Client-focused approach with a reputation for excellent service delivery
