Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as a Commercial Analyst on a full-time permanent basis

Package and benefits
- Monday to Friday – 8:30 AM – 5 PM
Pension
- 3% employer contribution, 4% employee contribution, 1% tax relief, pensions advisor to visit the site twice a year

Holiday Entitlement

- After completing 6-month probationary period, all employees are entitled to up to 5 days unpaid annual leave in addition to their paid allowance. This is pro-rata in the first part year, following probation.

Job Role:
- Reviewing the Commercial viability of new products in collaboration with the product development team
- Identifying areas of focus around target pricing / costs, margin expectations as well as forecasts
- Reviewing and analysing the progress of new & existing products identifying progress against targets, market performance & return on investment. Using this information to support decision making around future planning
- Reviewing stock levels vs. turnover and identify and review slow moving items and propose corrective actions
- Identifying lines at risk of becoming obsolete and influence the phase out such lines and ways of influencing stock holding to mitigate risk against future stock issues
- Working with the external sales team to gain reliable market data to be used when launching new products and reviewing existing product performance
- Developing and maintaining effective methods of storing and analysing relevant market information
- Maintaining and manging customer price files within the system
- Supporting the whole of the Commercial Department and offer cover for all areas when needed
- Working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders and other departments across the organisation
- Supporting, where required with projects within the company to support the overall business strategy
Skills and experience:
- Strong Commercial Awareness and Analytical Skills
- Ability to compile, interpret and analyse key trends and data sets
- Strong project management skills are essential
- Attention to detail – ensuring accuracy in analysis and reporting
- Maintaining a positive, open, and objective attitude towards others
- Consistency and reliability
- Flexibility – the ability to readily modify, respond to, and integrate change with minimal personal resistance
