Contract Ophthalmic Scrub Block Booking – Glasgow

About the Role:

Our client, a prestigious Private Hospital company in Scotland, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse or ODP for a block booking contract for three months. There is a possibility that it will be extended. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a high-quality surgical environment, delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing eye procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and scrubbing for ophthalmic procedures.
• A willingness to support teaching/double scrub in cataract surgery.
• Provide support to the surgical teams, ensuring all instruments and equipment are ready for use.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
• Monitor and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist with the post-operative care and recovery of patients.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse or ODP with current registration to the NMC/HCPC
• Experience in ophthalmic scrub nursing, particularly in eye surgeries.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
