About the Role
Stamford College is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Early Years to join our supportive and dynamic team. You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences across a range of Early Years programmes from Level 1 to Level 4 (HND), supporting students to achieve their full potential. This role includes course co‑ordination, assessment, and potentially internal verification/moderation responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to have a real impact on student success and course quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching in Early Years and related programmes.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress to support high retention and achievement.
- Develop schemes of work, course materials, and learning resources to meet the needs of all learners.
- Support students through tutorials, advice, and guidance to achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Contribute to course co‑ordination, internal verification, and quality assurance processes.
- Embed English, maths, and digital skills across teaching and learning.
- Assist in arranging work experience placements and maintain employer relationships.
- Participate in student recruitment activities, open evenings, trips, and industry visits.
- Promote the College\’s values, equality, diversity, safeguarding, and health and safety practices.
What We\’re Looking For
- Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., DTTLS, Cert Ed, PGCE) or equivalent.
- Minimum Level 3/4 qualification in Early Years (HND, degree, or professional industry qualification).
- Assessor Award (A1/TQA/CAVA); Internal Verifier Award desirable.
- Recent experience in Early Years practice; teaching experience in FE/HE desirable.
- Knowledge of current initiatives and vocational/subject area developments.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and engage learners of diverse abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
