Inspector – *INTERNAL APPLICATIONS ONLY

Location: Scarborough

An exciting opportunity to manage and control the quality process of vehicles in build by ensuring the high standards expected of AD products are met in a controlled and documented manner.

Main responsibilities:

  • Follow the agreed Quality Control Process.
  • Ensure all defects are recorded and cleared by the build stage.
  • Maintain Quality Control Process communication (white) boards, including relevant SOPs, critical care points, and fault reduction/quality data.
  • Fully understand the quality standards required for the area of build.
  • Understand the build plan and ensure build moves/delivery dates are met.
  • Work with Production to ensure operatives understand the quality standards required.
  • Train, educate, and guide operators where quality standards are not met.
  • Ensure all build and audit processes are completed prior to the release of the build stage or delivery of the ‘F’ Note.
  • Analyze data, develop, and implement fault reduction processes.
  • Achieve personal KPIs set to measure fault reduction.
  • Promote a 5S culture and assist in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Demonstrate pride and passion in delivering ADL/Plaxton products to customers.
  • Work outside of core hours as required to meet build schedules and customer deliveries, including additional (unpaid) hours.

About You

  • Self-driven and motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of coach/bus building processes.
  • Understanding of quality standards and care points.
  • Customer-focused with a clear understanding of customer expectations.
  • Effective planning, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to initiate change.
  • Computer literate.
