We are looking fora Multi Skilled/Shift Engineer to join this dynamic, forward-thinking team in Bromborough.With recent investments both on new equipment and GHG we continue to build a strong team for the future of the site.
As a key member of the Engineering Team, your primary accountability is to provide safe and highly reliable equipment to manufacturing colleagues, achieved through a healthy balance of hands-on maintenance competence, equipment knowledge, analysis of equipment performance and strong communication skill.
Working hours: Rotation Shift– working 4 on 4 off, 2 days / 2 nights
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all site assets are maintained to a high standard and meet sites requirements and are always available.
- To ensure optimum performance of the manufacturing plants and equipment at best value cost and effective use of resource
- Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards, ensuring safe working always.
- Positively affect plant reliability through practical intervention on improvement activities, maintenance procedures and on plant stoppages
- Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities that you undertake – properly risk assessed.
- To deliver on relevant Engineering Key Performance Indicators
- Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities.
- To ensure engineering stock control on all parts used – booked out and accounted for correctly within the required systems.
- Coach, train and give understanding to production colleagues to achieve continual improvements in equipment knowledge/performance.
- Act with integrity always to build a culture of professional engineering and proactive equipment-focussed continuous improvement skills.
You will need:
- A recognised qualification for mechanical and electrical engineering
- Broad Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical & PLC/Inverter Assets
- Experience of risk assessing maintenance activity and controlling safe working practices
- Experience of working on high hazard equipment & competent in undertaking safe isolation
