DSV is recruiting for a Warehouse AM Shift Team Lead, hours: 6 am to 2 pm, Mon β Fri.
This role will be responsible for managing a section within the Warehouse function.
- Supporting the Management Team with daily warehouse operations, overseeing a team of operators, and ensuring efficient operations to meet business targets.
- Providing line management, coordinating workloads, supporting team delivery, monitoring issues, and ensuring KPIs, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
- Developing the team by focusing on individual performance, supporting high standards, and fostering a safety culture.
Responsibilities include:
- Running an efficient warehouse operation to fulfill operational and customer demands.
- Training new warehouse operatives.
- Maintaining accurate inventories and stock movements.
- Participating in stock takes and ensuring system accuracy.
- Suggesting system improvements.
- Resolving warehouse issues, producing reports, planning capacity, and ensuring health and safety standards.
- Managing manual handling procedures, equipment maintenance, security, and cleanliness.
- Acting up for management during leave and absence.
People Management:
- Managing attendance, communicating priorities, reporting progress, liaising with external partners, and ensuring policy compliance.
- Engaging with the team, contributing to development, maintaining integrity, and participating in HR processes.
Experience required:
- Team leadership, communication, IT skills, analytical ability, understanding of customer requirements, and planning skills.
Skills and competencies:
- GCSEs Level A-C, NVQ Level 2, warehousing qualification advantageous, Dangerous Goods handling certification, supervisory qualification beneficial, forklift license may be required.
