The predicted salary is between 45000 - 56000 £ per year.

Working within our Customer Operations department, you have the chance to join the team as a Leakage Team manager specialised in Unaccounted for Water. You’ll be in charge of leading a team in the field every day, finding out about water used from our network which is not currently measured. This will include daily interactions with business customers to collect the data we need to understand where our water goes.

The work you do will be essential in reducing leakage and customer demand, allowing us to deliver the highest standard service, for the lowest costs.

You will be involved in a number of daily activities such as co-ordinating staff, information and resources, ensuring nobody gets hurt as a result of the work we do and planning where we need to investigate next. You’ll be required to identify, support and drive improvements within the team and adapt your work as our understanding and priorities change.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

  • You will strive to Deliver a 5 out of 5 service for our customers all day every day and ensure that all work in your area of control is carried out in a manner whereby: No-one gets hurt (employee, contractor or member of the public) as a result of the work we do

  • You’ll work in partnership with our contractor partners, business partners and Trade Union colleagues

  • You will look for improvements in the way we operate by minimising waste and speeding up our processes and then you’ll lead & embed change within the team to deliver sustained improvements to performance.

  • You will be responsible for managing a budget including operational and capital expenditure.

  • You’ll co-ordinate staff, information and resources to enable prompt detection of leaks or consumption that affects the Leakage level including identification of unaccounted for water and you will take targeting guidance from Proactive Network Control and prioritise the leakage activities accordingly.

  • You will be required to take part in a standby rota to ensure 24/7 cover and Travel across the region will be required so you will need a driving license.
