Job Description
We have partnered with an award-winning, fast-growing scientific media company with a global reach who are looking to add a Science Editor to their expert editorial team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to combine their scientific knowledge with editorial and digital marketing skills to promote innovative research and technology to a global audience.
About the Role
As a Science Editor, you will be responsible for developing and executing a dedicated editorial and marketing plan to grow scientist engagement, build brand awareness, and support sales and sponsorship opportunities. You will work across a wide range of scientific disciplines, from life sciences to applied and analytical chemistry, producing multi-format content for an international community of over 250,000 scientists.
Key Responsibilities
·Plan, create, and deliver compelling content, including news stories, expert interviews, buying guides, webinars, and more
·Collaborate with sales and client services teams to meet KPIs and support business development
·Build strong relationships with scientists, societies, and manufacturers to grow the brand’s reach
·Attend international conferences and industry events to develop contacts and generate content
·Manage marketing activities aimed at increasing user engagement and platform membership
·Analyse content performance and report on key metrics, including downloads and engagement
·Support social media activities and email campaigns to drive audience growth
About You
·A degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry or a related field is essential
·Solid business experience, ideally in scientific publishing, B2B marketing, or digital content creation
·A natural storyteller with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
·A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a flair for creativity
·Comfortable working across multiple projects, disciplines, and digital formats
·A strong interest in laboratory technologies and making science accessible to a wider audience
·Willingness to travel internationally to attend scientific events and meet clients
