Our client is an established international staffing consultancy with a strong track record since 1992. With 140+ employees across five offices in the UK, USA (Raleigh & Boston), Ireland, and The Netherlands, they specialise in delivering contract and permanent staffing solutions to clients across the EMEA, Americas, and APAC regions. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Contracts Lawyer to join their dynamic in-house Legal & Compliance team.
The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment. As Contracts Lawyer , you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the business and driving its growth by negotiating robust commercial agreements and providing strategic legal advice across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Legal & Compliance, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (client, contractor, and supplier agreements) across the UK, USA, and Europe.
- Mitigate contractual risk while supporting the business in achieving its commercial goals.
- Provide pragmatic, strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders to enable sustainable growth and opportunity.
- Keep abreast of relevant legal and regulatory developments in the UK, USA, and Europe.
- Develop and implement contract management processes, templates, and documentation best practices.
- Build strong relationships across the business and externally, ensuring clear and persuasive communication of legal positions.
- Uphold and promote the organisation’s vision and values through high standards of professionalism and integrity.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience within the staffing or recruitment sector.
- Proven track record reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to balance compliance and commercial imperatives.
- Solid understanding of UK, US, and European contract law.
- Strong commercial acumen and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to influence and advise at all levels.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, evolving environment.
- A collaborative mindset with the gravitas to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
