About the Role

A well‑regarded law firm in Manchester is seeking a talented and motivated Financial Mis‑Selling Solicitor with 1–3 years PQE to join their Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a genuine interest in financial litigation to develop their career within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of financial mis‑selling claims.
  • Advise clients on merits of claims, litigation risks, and potential outcomes.
  • Draft and issue court proceedings, witness statements, and other legal documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory changes affecting financial services.
  • Engage with expert witnesses, financial advisers, and counsel as needed.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings and mediations.
  • Maintain high standards of client care and communication throughout the process.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1–3 years PQE.
  • Experience handling or assisting on financial mis‑selling or broader financial litigation claims.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and financial products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to case management.
  • Experience working on high‑volume or group litigation claims.
