This role places you as a core team member of the UK, Ireland and Nordic Healthcare Systems and Technologies, leading the Safe Patient Handling sales team and shaping strategies to meet objectives and targets.
Under the guidance of the Head of Sales, you will manage the Safe Patient Handling sales team to achieve sustainable growth with existing customers and generate new business in line with business and personal objectives. You will lead the team and ensure the right support in the sales process.
The role
This is a critically important role and core team member of UK, Ireland and Nordic Healthcare Systems and Technologies. Ultimately managing the tactical and operational daily activities of the Safe Patient Handling sales team and driving the development and implementation of strategies to ensure the attainment of focused objectives and targets. This team comprises direct sales managers and distributor managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual sales plans, goals and objectives for the sales team
- Provide leadership, guidance and motivation to the sales team, to achieve sales targets
- Hire, train, manage and retain top talent to ensure team success
- Analyse sales data, market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth
- Lead and manage the account planning process for individual Account Managers aligned to the strategic marketing plan
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to ensure ongoing business and identify new opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing, tech services, therapy partners, finance etc. to align sales strategies with company objectives
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set KPIs and provide coaching & feedback to the sales team
- Monitor sales activity and pipeline, forecast sales revenue and report regularly on sales performance to senior management
- Develop and negotiate contracts/agreements with clients
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge
- Act as change agent through the organization to instil agility and ability to re-invent the way we operate internally and externally
Qualifications
- At least 5 years as a leader in Medtech industry, with minimum 2 years in sales management
- Strong communication and change management skills, based on transparent and inclusive values
- Track record of leading transformation and growth
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and flexibility to quickly adapt to change; passion for building new business opportunities
- Strong planning skills with a structured work pattern
- Result driven, accountable and a growth mindset
- Resilience and positivity; responds well to setbacks and shows leadership by proactively encouraging and motivating peers
