Job Description
Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a Finance Manager for a successful business based in Exeter. This is a newly formed role that will contribute towards its ambitious growth plans.
Reporting into a highly supportive Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, including financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
Key duties will include:
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with the company's growth goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and re-forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning and tracking.
- Provide strategic insights to senior management on financial performance and key decision-making.
- Oversee monthly management accounts, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and providing clear commentary on performance.
- Work closely with senior leadership to provide insights into financial data and key business drivers.
- Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive cross-department collaboration to ensure financial strategies align with business objectives.
- Cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including VAT, taxation, and industry standards.
- Continuously seek improvements in financial processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) who enjoys working in a fast-paced and progressive environment. You will have strong communication skills and a desire to strive to make continuous improvements to benefit the business.
