Overview
Commercial Manager – Transport and Infrastructure
CPC is an independent project and commercial management consultancy, delivering transportation, infrastructure, property and transformational change projects. This is a great opportunity to join CPC’s Commercial Services Division within the Transport and Infrastructure Business Unit as an experienced commercial manager, driving cost and contracts management across all areas of major transport and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Join CPC’s Commercial Services Division within the Transport and Infrastructure Business Unit as an experienced commercial manager.
- Drive cost and contracts management across all areas of major transport and infrastructure projects.
- Implement and maintain effective contract administration processes and reporting systems aligned to project requirements.
- Operate within embedded delivery teams to support optimum commercial outputs in fast-paced project delivery environments.
Qualifications
- Experience of working in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management teams.
- Experience of working Pre/ Post Contract.
- Experience carrying out cost management activities including monthly reporting, cash flow control and forecasting for supported projects.
- Experience as a commercial manager within the Transport & Infrastructure environment is highly desired; Rail experience preferred.
- Knowledge of tendering and the procurement process, and/or procurement experience.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining effective contract administration processes and reporting systems aligned to project requirements.
- Collaborative approach to work and contract administration; able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to operate effectively within embedded delivery teams to drive commercial outputs in fast-paced environments.
Ideally you will also have
- NEC & NR forms of contract.
- Experience on complex, high-profile projects.
- Understanding of project and change management methods.
- Holding or studying towards a professional qualification.
- Knowledge of working with or for publicly funded bodies.
