Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Walsall, to provide one-on-one support for a Year 5 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will have a nurturing, caring nature, with a commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide tailored support to a Year 5 pupil with SEMH needs.
· Assist with both academic and emotional support throughout the school day.
· Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalised learning strategies.
· Create a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment.
· Encourage social skills and positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
· Support the pupil in developing self-regulation and confidence in their learning.

Ideal Candidate:
· Experience working with children, preferably those with SEMH or additional needs.
· A nurturing and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· A positive and proactive attitude toward supporting student development.
· Relevant qualifications (, Teaching Assistant qualification, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
· A commitment to supporting the welfare and safeguarding of children.

Supply TA Experience, Training, and Qualifications
· It is essential that you have SEN Teaching assistant experience, along with a relevant qualification Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Childcare/TA
· Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.

To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must
· Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
· Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
· Provide two professional child-related references.
