Robertson Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company who specialize in precision sheet metal fabrication for a diverse range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, electronics, and industrial equipment.
They are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure the sheet metal components and assemblies meet stringent quality requirements and customer specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of fabrication processes, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Working Hours
- Initial Shift: Mornings (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Future Shift Options: Permanent afternoons (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM), nights, or rotating shifts (Mornings 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM / Afternoons 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM).
- Breaks: 10 minutes + 30 minutes (both paid).
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect sheet metal components and assemblies using appropriate tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections
- Identify and document non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis
- Work closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reports
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a sheet metal fabrication or precision engineering environment
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measurement techniques
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
