At RemoteStar, we are hiring for one of our clients—a privately held IT services and consulting company based in India. They specialize in cloud computing, DevOps, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and digital transformation solutions.

Role Split: 60% Coding | 40% Technical Leadership

About Role:

We are looking for a Python Tech Lead who is passionate about hands-on coding (60%) while also driving technical leadership and resolution (40%). This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in API development, strong architectural knowledge, and a proven track record of leading teams in an agile, CI/CD-driven environment. Experience working on product-based platforms/projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-on Development:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using Python.
  2. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented object-oriented code.
  3. Ensure best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment.

Technical Leadership & Resolution:

  1. Provide technical guidance, ensuring high-quality software solutions.
  2. Architect and design system-level solutions, considering scalability and performance.
  3. Act as a technical mentor for developers, conducting code reviews and guiding design discussions.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. 8+ years of experience building APIs in Python.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  3. Strong background in CI/CD pipelines with automated testing.
  4. Experience designing scalable system architectures and working with microservices.
  5. Proven experience as a Technical Lead, leading engineering teams and resolving technical challenges.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  2. Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  3. Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
