In this role, you’ll take an exciting step in your career by enrolling on (or working towards) a Level 3 Building Services & Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience while developing the technical skills to shape the future of building services.

Job Description

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of qualified Electricians and Supervisors, supporting the delivery of electrical and building services engineering maintenance across client properties.

This hands-on role will involve assisting with fault finding, repairs, routine maintenance, and installations across designated sites.

You’ll be part of a team committed to providing a world-class building services maintenance solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planned and reactive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Assist with servicing and basic repairs of plant equipment under supervision.
  • Learn fault diagnosis and support installation work across building services.
  • Accurately record tasks using Helpdesk and work management systems.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE and manual handling.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and adhere to ISS and site policies.
  • Engage in training and development to build specialist knowledge and compliance competency.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Enrolled on (or working towards) a Level 3 Building Services & Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship.
  • Genuine interest in engineering or building services.
  • Team player with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic understanding of tools and manual work.
  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
