From their UK and USA bases, they manufacture rupture discs, explosion vents and associated burst detection systems, and offer engineering design consultation, product training, site surveys and stock consolidation. They have manufacturing facilities in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (USA) and North Shields (UK), supported by six regional sales offices and over sixty representatives. Key sectors include chemical process, refining, energy, pharmaceutical and biotech, electrification and power, and OEM industries such as bulk handling, gas generation, cryogenics, medical, aerospace, transportation, and hydrogen. OsecoElfab is part of a FTSE 100 company with over 50 subsidiaries worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out high-quality manufacturing tasks to the agreed and/or documented standards.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support the development of new SOPs where appropriate.
  • Escalate issues and work with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
  • Ensure all quality standards are observed and maintained.
  • Maintain cost-effective and timely production to meet targets and customer requirements.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used and any defects or scrapped materials.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure work areas are clean and free from hazards.
  • Comply with health and safety requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as appropriate.
  • Operate and clean assembly and production machinery and hand-held tools.
  • Inform Supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues.
  • Monitor production or assembly lines and perform basic testing and quality checks.
  • Store goods and raw materials, including operating lifting equipment and forklift trucks as needed.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products.
  • Adhere to operational procedures and production timelines.

Qualifications / Applicants

  • Excellent time management and ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; customer-focused; team worker; enthusiastic; good communicator.
  • Good concentration and attention to detail to quickly notice errors on a production or assembly line.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and quality standards and procedures; ability to interpret technical specifications.
  • GCSE / Equivalent grade A-C in Maths and English and preferably one other technical subject.
  • Willingness to complete on-the-job/vocational training as well as formal qualifications as required.

Working Arrangements

Working Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3pm to 11pm. Salary: £24,763.93 rising to £26,782.18 after passing a 6-month probation.
