The successful candidate will be required to speak English to an appropriate standard and be available outside of normal working hours as part of a standby rota to respond to out of hours service needs. A standardised standby payment will be made in respect of these duties.
This post requires an Enhanced DBS Check.

About The Post
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is keen to recruit staff that are committed to developing its services and improving delivery to the public and its partners. We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person with a flexible approach to work within the Property Services Section as an Electrician.
Applicants Should Have
- City and Guilds Electrical Level 3 or Equivalent
- BS 7671: 2008 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- City and Guilds 2391 Inspecting and Testing Certificate
- Holds a current ECS site card or is prepared to immediately attain
- IPAF Certification
- PASMA Certification
- IOSH Working Safely Certification
Applicants must be physically fit to complete all duties, able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions, have excellent customer care skills, and be willing to undertake any necessary training to fully complete the role and be available to be on the out of hours call out rota.
