Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial structures.
- Read blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems using pressure gauges and other tools.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with construction professionals, electricians, and other tradespeople on new builds and renovations.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of time spent on jobs, materials used, and work completed.
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls and perform after-hours repairs when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
Essential Experience Required .
- Proven experience as a plumber (typically 2–5 years).
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
