Description
NOC Engineer
Location: Remote, occasional travel when required for team meet ups/data Centre visits
Salary – £32,000 – £36,000 per year
40 Hours a week, with the scope to be part of the on call/shift rota including weekends

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance of our access and ISP networks, identifying and escalating issues to resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve customer-impacting incidents.
- Support the deployment of new infrastructure, including access Points of Presence (POPs), in coordination with field engineers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring tools and operational workflows to enhance network visibility and efficiency.
- Provide support for our platforms, primarily Linux-based systems deployed both on-premises and in AWS.
- Participate in work shifts, including weekends and oncall rota (paid on top of your salary).
- Provide support to the field/install team with technical support
- Provide support for the customer service team(s) with technical support
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience working in a service provider (SP) or ISP environment, or supporting production networks.
- Familiarity with network protocols and technologies such as BGP, MPLS, and XGS-PON.
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Scripting or automation experience with Python would be useful
