The Company currently has vacancies for Daughter Craft Coxswains in its ERRV/MRV fleet.
Candidates must hold a valid OPITO DC Coxswain certificate.
Daughter Craft Coxswain responsibilities include:
- Taking charge and command of Daughter Craft and its crew upon launch, subject to Master\’s orders.
- General upkeep and local repairs of Fast Rescue Craft / Daughter Craft.
- Running up FRC engines to ensure they operate correctly.
- Reporting all FRC / DC defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, and liaising with both regarding the general upkeep of the craft.
- Performing general on-deck daytime duties, as directed by the Chief Mate.
- Participating as part of the vessel firefighting team.
- Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during maintenance periods.
