About:Global Marine Group is a leading independent provider of submarine cable solutions offering a broad range of services including consultancy, installation and maintenance covering the lifespan of a submarine cable system and delivered to customers worldwide.
Purpose:Our parent group requires substantial detail to allow them to meet their reporting requirements and understand underlying performance across their portfolio, both through regular monthly reporting and as part of our budgeting and forecasting cycles. The Group Reporting Analyst will deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports and help understand the drivers of reported results to improve forecasting in focus areas. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes and help ensure on-time delivery and eliminate errors.
- Prepare and help develop detailed reports including testing and error correction.
- Manage complex data to provide insights that can help inform decision making by presenting this information in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the source, flow and transformation of reported data.
- Proactively review reporting to locate, assess and fix errors and/or understand anomalies.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance data integrity and deliver more efficient reporting outputs.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process including submission review, aggregation and reporting with highlights from analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs, implement process enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy whilst deliver solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
- Supporting stakeholders through process change necessary to deliver group reporting needs.
At least part qualified accountant, or actively studying towards (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).Analytical, proactive, and enjoys solving complex business problems.Ability to accurately analyse and interpret large datasets.Proficiency in creating clear, actionable visual reports with attention to detail.Strong people skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with internal stakeholders across the organisation.First class Microsoft Excel skills.Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.This role is required to work on-site for 3 days a week at our Chelmsford office with 2 other days working from home (one being a Friday).To ensure our organisation complies with immigration rules, all candidates must provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK when applying.
