Responsibilities

Make an impact as a Resident Site Engineer at Toolstation, Pineham, Northamptonshire. Working Monday to Friday on rotating 8-hour shifts, mornings and afternoons, with no night shifts. The Engineers do 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday a month and take a day off during the week to compensate. Company benefits include private healthcare and a contributory pension scheme.

The Role – Resident Site Engineer – Maintenance Engineer

  • Carry out servicing of automated materials handling equipment, in accordance with quality standards.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical breakdown repairs and planned preventative maintenance on various automated machinery, including tornado cranes, spiral conveyors, carton labelers, carton erectors, sortation machines, and high-speed conveyors.
  • Undertake repairs following manufacturers\’ recommendations and industry standard practices.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
  • Ensure quality of output and adhere to the company\’s quality processes and procedures.
  • Work at heights as required.
  • Represent the company professionally within a team of engineers, striving for excellence and best practices in all tasks.

  • An apprentice-trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, with at least NVQ Level 3 qualification.
  • Experience working with automation is essential.
  • Ability to work at heights.

  • Proactive knowledge sharing and integrity are essential.
