We are currently seeking a P6 Planner to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects, across various technical disciplines with clients across country. These projects can include HVDC, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, connections schemes etc.
You will join a growing and collaborative team, working in partnership with a variety of clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. We have ambitious growth plans and as a result there are lots of great development opportunities across our business. This is an opportunity for you to play an important part in the U.K. energy transition.
As a P6 Planner, you will be involved in developing new projects for the delivery of pre-construction, design and delivery. You will incorporate subcontractor programmes, manage the programme of works, updates and changes. You will work closely with the project teams to implement change and Manage and report critical paths.
You will monitor contractor performance against agreed baselines and evaluate monthly contractor programme submissions and provide appropriate recommendations. You will propose and develop mitigation and recovery strategies and review compensation event submissions including impacted programmes.

Stantec Energy Transition – UK
You will be a pro-active individual with knowledge and understanding of the electricity transmission and distribution industry. You will have the capability to coach and work within the wider energy team. You will also have the following:-
Experience working on complex programmes using P6
Demonstrable experience managing change in P6 in accordance with the contract and client requirements
National Grid experience beneficial but not essential
Solid basic understanding of design and construction sequencing
NEC 4 contract experience
We are particularly interested in anyone who has good knowledge of National Grid’s Transmission procedures and has thorough knowledge and experience applying National Grids Technical Specification, Technical Guidance Notes, and Design Handbooks relating to civil/structural engineering of electricity T&D infrastructure in the UK.
