Are you ready to hit the road and make some deliveries? We’re on the lookout for Class 2 Drivers to join a dynamic freight forwarding company. If you have a passion for driving and a knack for navigating the roads, we want to hear from you!

If you have worked for the likes of Veolia, Tesco and XPO or if you are looking to work for a similar company to start your career with then we have the position for you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Making palletized deliveries with 5-6 drops and 2-5 collections (keep it moving!)
  • Enjoying ongoing temp work with shifts starting around 6-7am, averaging a solid 10 hours on the road.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • At least 1 year of Class 2 driving experience (no newbies please)
  • A valid CPC Card (essential for those who want to drive like a pro)
  • A Tacho Card (because we all love to keep things legal!)
  • ADR certification is a bonus, but not a deal breaker (let’s not stress over it)

Key Responsibilities

Safe and Efficient Driving:

  • Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle, complying with all relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues to the Transport Manager.

Load and Unload Goods:

  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securement and adherence to weight limits.
  • Handle palletized deliveries, making 5-6 drops and 2-5 collections each shift.

Route Planning:

  • Plan the most efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries

Paperwork and Documentation:

  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including delivery notes, logs, and any other required documentation.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Handle customer queries and concerns in a professional manner.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.

Ensure the vehicle is stocked with necessary supplies and is in good running condition.

Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, ensuring your safety and the safety of others on the road.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 license
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of driving regulations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime as needed.
