Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School is a 7-12 school with approximately 625 students from four vibrant Addison County towns. We believe that all students should have access to high-quality personalized, proficiency-based learning opportunities and authentic assessment practices. We seek to support all students to thrive at Mt. Abraham so that they are prepared for meaningful engagement in college, career, and community upon graduation.
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Math Educator for a full time position working primarily with students in the middle level with grades 7 and 8. Our successful candidate will be required to teach math students in a variety of courses utilizing differentiated instruction and different learning modalities. Our successful candidate will have the ability to foster positive relationships with students, be organized, and work collaboratively with teachers and administrators. Our desired candidate will be able to plan, organize, and implement a proficiency-based instructional program aligned with the Common Core of State Standards in a middle/high school learning environment, that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
We are excited to bring someone into our learning community who will engage all students in the process of learning math content, skills and problem solving in a proficiency based system while learning transferable skills that will prepare them for success as engaged students and productive community members and citizens of our society.
Salary is commensurate with experience and per the Mount Abraham Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
