Overview
The Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is a public school district dedicated to providing a high-quality education for all students. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Educational Assistants to join our team. The Educational Assistant will work under the direction of certified teachers to provide instructional and support services to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students as directed by the teacher.
- Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, math, and other subjects.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support, including implementing positive behavior interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Assist with the supervision of students during classroom activities, transitions, and other times as needed.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time school year position with hours 7:45 am to 3:15 pm.
- The position may require occasional travel between school sites or to attend meetings and training.
- This position reports to the school principal.
Salary Range
$22.46 – $26.95

Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Associate\’s degree or Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification required.
- Previous experience working with students in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred. Associate degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
