Use your experience to help someone rewrite theirsAs a Dual Diagnosis Peer Support Outreach Worker, your lived experience will be your greatest strength. You\’ll walk alongside people facing homelessness, mental health issues and addiction, offering empathy, support and the kind of hope that only someone who\’s been there can give.Working Style:You\’ll be based in the Borough for three days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you\’re working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you\’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents\’ lives.What you\’ll be doing:You\’ll be part of our dedicated Street Population Outreach Team, working closely with the Rough Sleeper Dual Diagnosis Outreach team to support residents navigating some of life\’s most difficult challenges. Many of the people you\’ll meet have been let down or overlooked – your role is to show them they\’re not alone and that recovery is possible.You\’ll help build trust with individuals who may be reluctant to engage with services, offering encouragement and support based on your own journey. Whether you\’re out on patrol with the outreach team, attending appointments with clients, or co-facilitating group sessions, your presence and perspective will be invaluable.You\’ll support people with everyday tasks – from attending benefits appointments to accessing treatment – and play a key role in monitoring their progress and sharing any concerns.
