We’ve opened Fire & Wine by Boxcar! A new neighbourhood restaurant built around fire-led cooking, seasonal ingredients, expressive wines, and exceptional service. With Bib Gourmand aspirations and a passionate team behind it, this is a fresh start with real purpose.
We’re looking for a dedicated Floor Manager who brings confidence, calm, and a genuine love of hospitality to the room — someone who leads from the front, inspires the team, and ensures every guest feels looked after.

What you\’ll be doing
- Leading the floor during service with clarity, confidence and attention to detail.
- Supporting, motivating, and developing the front-of-house team to deliver smooth, guest-focused service.
- Championing our food and wine offering — confidently recommending dishes and pairings with insight and care.
- Managing the flow of service, setting and adjusting sections, and ensuring team communication is clear and effective.
- Handling POS, payments and end-of-day processes with precision.
- Taking ownership of the restaurant’s presentation, flagging any maintenance issues and upholding high standards at all times.
- Contributing to team briefings, tastings, and wider projects to support the successful launch and continued evolution of the concept.

- A strong understanding of service standards, food and wine knowledge, and the ability to pass this on to others.
