About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and reliableGas Engineerto join our team supporting a diverse portfolio of Mitie clients. This role involves delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks across building services, including basic electrical and fabric maintenance as required under contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM, reactive and emergency maintenance tasks to agreed standards and timescales.
- Complete all relevant documentation and ensure accurate reporting via PDA.
- Conduct remedial works in response to safety audits, breakdowns or emergencies.
- Assist other team members as required, and proactively identify additional works or improvements.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Participate in the on-call rota, ensuring availability as scheduled.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across:
- Boiler plant
- Ventilation systems
- Pumps
- Switchgear
- Small power and lighting systems (where applicable)
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Safe Working Practices.
- Ability to use a PDA or mobile maintenance system.
Qualifications Required
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds (or equivalent) in relevant mechanical or gas disciplines.
- Up-to-date commercial gas tickets including:
- COCN1,CDGA1,CIGA1,CORT1,ICPN1,TPCP1,CODC1,COMCAT1,COMCAT5,CCLNG1,CLE1
