MES Engineer

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

Shift: Days – Monday to Friday

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Are you an MES expert with a background in manufacturing systems integration? We\’re working with a leading manufacturing business who are seeking a skilled MES Engineer with SQL understanding and experience to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities of the MES Engineer:

  • Implement and support third-party MES applications (e.g., Apriso, InSequence, Nysus, Solidat).
  • Interface MES with PLCs and ERP systems to streamline production processes.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts, reports, and database queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver digital manufacturing solutions.

Skills required for the MES Engineer:

  • Strong background in manufacturing environments.
  • Proven MES implementation and support experience.
  • Solid understanding of PLC and ERP system interfacing.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and SQL query/report writing.
  • Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
  • Advanced IT skills – Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio, PowerBI.
