Location: Basingstoke
Reports To: Production Lead
Salary: Competitive/ £28,000-£32,000 plus bonus

Compressed hours – 7.30-5pm Monday to Thursday

The AOI Operator Role

The primary AOI Operator role is involved in operating our 2D & 3D Mirtec AOI systems for the validation of complex PCBA products. You will be working within a team responsible for the inspection/conformance of PCB assemblies to IPC manufacturing standards at levels 2 & 3. Technicians are required to verify or decide the acceptability of products to comply with IPC standards.

As part of our production workflow and quality team you will be interfacing with production engineers to provide feedback on first off and full production builds. Operating our AOI systems for full product conformance and collecting data and information to record on our internal system for process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Working with engineers to validate first off inspection in conjunction with IPC or J-STD levels
  • Full batch inspection in conjunction with IPC or J-STD level
  • Documenting process indicators and faults
  • Read and understand manufacturing drawings for orientation for build conformance
  • Using our computer-based system for time booking and recording production notes

Experience

  • Essential Flexible, adaptable with attention to detail to ensure the use of AOI equipment
  • Essential Comprehension of IPC standards/previous of current certification
  • Desirable – AOI programming and de-big
  • Desirable Re-work of SMT components
  • Desirable Use of X-Ray inspection equipment
