We are one of the very few jewellers in the country that has its own handmade workshop based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, allowing us to offer our clients a range of unique, bespoke jewellery.
The Role
Jewellery Assessment Co‑ordinator – Birmingham Operations office.
Full‑time position. Salary up to £27,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assessing product issues with jewellery designs, both commercial and bespoke.
- Working with various workshop teams to resolve product issues.
- Track and issue repairs to the workshop that require alterations.
- Coordinate with regional offices for stock transfers.
- Sourcing stones, findings, etc., for urgent orders and repairs.
- Overseeing workshop repair costs.
- Booking returns and repairs within the system in a timely manner.
- Sending products for hallmarking.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in product designs to enhance assessment techniques.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control standards to ensure that all returned jewellery meets the company’s specifications and customer expectations.
- Document and report any deviations or issues encountered during the assessment process.
- Work closely with other jewellery professionals, including the workshop, to ensure seamless integration of repair techniques.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address specific requirements for each jewellery piece.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Managing workload effectively to meet customer deadlines.
- Maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail throughout all work.
- Responsible for both the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and assessment tools.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in jewellery assessment or workshop‑related experience.
- Proficient knowledge of jewellery detailing (metals, settings, tolerances, etc.).
- Skilled in product and design assessment.
- Customer service – handling queries over the phone and via email.
- Knowledge of quality control processes in fine jewellery.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Genuine passion for jewellery and craftsmanship.
Experience – Minimum 3 years in jewellery assessment or workshop, as required.
Work Location – Birmingham, UK. Full‑time.
