Materials Planner - Global Manufacturing Business

The Materials Planner will play a critical role in managing the supply of materials to meet production demands within a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Reading and involves working cross-functionally to ensure a smooth operation of the supply chain. Description Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement materials planning strategies Collaborate with procurement and supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of materials Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control Liaise with suppliers to maintain strong relationships Participate in cross-functional teams to improve supply chain processes Forecast material needs based on production plans Coordinate with production team to align material availability with production schedules Address and resolve any issues related to material shortagesProfile The successful candidate would have: Prior Supply Chain experience in a similar role/ industry Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management systems Proficiency with ERP systems Job Offer On offer to the candidate: Up to c.£38,000 per year plus package Hybrid working – 3 days per week onsite The opportunity to work in a global company within the manufacturing industry
