The Role…

We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious Financial Accountant to join our team. This role will be reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the wider finance team. You will be responsible for key parts of the finance functions, supporting the organisation across all areas of the Trivallis business.

About You…

The successful candidate will:

  • Qualified CCAB Accountant with minimum 5 years post qualified experience.
  • Significant experience preparing management and statutory accounts within short timescales.
  • Significant experience of producing performance management information, analysing data and interpreting the results for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience of line management of direct reports within the finance team.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting the wider business to set and monitor budgets.
  • Ability to provide Executive Team and Senior Managers with informed and objective advice.
  • Able to manage workloads to meet demanding targets, bringing set objectives to successful completion within agreed deadlines.
  • Advanced communication skills, able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people both internally and externally.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

What you will do…

  • Provide an effective and timely management reporting service to internal and external users for all areas of the business.
  • Working with key stakeholders around the business and financial partners to understand movements and ensure effective and accurate reporting.

What you will be responsible for…

  • Assist the Head of Finance in the preparation of the statutory accounts, Financial Statements. Including the management of the year end process.
  • Assist the Finance Director, Head of Finance, and FBPs in the audit process by consolidating returns to external audit.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including detailed variance analysis ensuring that all transactions are recorded on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Management of the month end accruals and prepayment process with assistance from the Assistant accountant (VAT)
  • Completion of the month end revenue reconciliation and posting of the revenue into the accounts.
  • Prepare reconciliations and notes to the management accounts allocated as per the monthly timetable.
  • Ensuring the accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts.
  • Assist Head of Finance with the submission of all statutory reporting requirements and returns.
  • Provide credible leadership to any direct reports, demonstrating the values of Trivallis and the leadership behaviours expected.
