Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Outreach Worker to support SEMH pupils in a lovely school near Crewe. You must be able to drive for this role as you will be supporting pupils within the school and local community. You will be supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues that are struggling to access the mainstream curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking attendance in the mornings
  • Liaising with parents regarding absences
  • Confident in liaising with social services and other parties to best support the individual
  • Confident in behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies
  • Referring to education and health care plans (EHCP)

Location: Crewe

Type of work: Temporary

End date: Ongoing

Minimum rate of pay: £100 per day depending on experience

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desirable
  • Must be able to drive as this is a driving role

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
