Company Overview:
Our client, based in Uttlesford, is looking for dedicated Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join their team for an ongoing contract in the Stansted, Uttlesford, Bishop Stortford, Little Canfield, and surrounding areas.
Role Overview:
As a Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 refuse vehicle, collecting household, recycled, and green waste from primarily residential areas. This is a hands-on role that involves both driving and occasional loading duties.
Schedule:
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Hours: 06:30 – 16:30
Pay:
- Base Rate: £15.20 per hour
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver CPC
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Clean driving record (no DD/DR endorsements)
- Maximum of 6 penalty points
Responsibilities:
- Safely collect and transport household, recycled, and green waste from residential addresses.
- Operate the refuse vehicle to collect refuse/recycling from designated areas and dispose of it at approved waste collection sites.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Perform both driving and loading duties as directed by the supervisor.
